This notice covers SaveYouriPod's phone apps: Stonepod (Android, Google Play) and iPod Studio (iPhone and Android). It applies together with the website's privacy policy.

Postal address (mail only): Kwikstaartlaan 42, Box C4434, 3704 GS Zeist, the Netherlands.
2. In short
- No account is needed and we do not ask for personal data.
- No advertising, no usage statistics, no tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We receive no data from the app, unless you write to us (section 4). What you do stays on your phone.
3. What stays on your phone
The app works on your phone: the library read from your connected iPod, the music on your phone, the photos and videos you pick in the system picker (the app does not see the rest of your gallery), your settings, achievements and listening statistics. This data does not leave the phone. iPod backups are saved only where you choose (phone storage, a USB drive, a cloud service). Uninstalling the app deletes its data; backups you saved stay where you put them.
4. Outside services the app uses
Some features, only when you use them, fetch content directly from third-party services. They receive your IP address and the request (for example a song title) and handle them under their own policies:
- YouTube (Google): the official video player and, if you enter your own API key, search. The YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply.
- LRCLIB (lrclib.net), only in the iPod Studio app: song lyrics; receives the song's title, artist, album and length.
- Apple iTunes Search (itunes.apple.com): artwork and podcast search; receives the names searched.
- Radio Browser (radio-browser.info) and the stations' servers: the list of stations in your country and the station you play.
- Podcast feeds: the servers of the podcasts you open.
- Spotify, only in the iPod Studio app and only if you connect your account: you sign in on Spotify's own page and the token stays on your phone.
- Google Play, only in the Stonepod app: asking for a review uses Google Play's own card, handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; we never see who leaves a review.
Links to our website (for example the configurator) open in your browser and follow the website's privacy policy.
If you write to us. The “Feedback” button opens your email app with a message addressed to [email protected], including your phone model and the app version to help us understand the problem. We receive only what you choose to send (your email address, your text, any attachments) and use it only to answer you; we keep it for as long as it takes to handle your request.
5. Permissions
- USB: to read and, when you ask, update the connected iPod.
- Music on the phone: to show and play your songs.
- Photos and videos: only those you pick in the system picker.
- Notifications and foreground playback: music controls while you listen.
- Network: the services in section 4.
The app does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts or calendar.
6. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, share or use data for advertising or profiling: we do not receive any.
7. Children
The app is not specifically directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
8. Security
Data stays in the app's private storage on your phone. Connections to the services in section 4 use HTTPS where the service offers it (some radio stations still broadcast without it).
9. Your rights
As we keep no data about you through the app, there is nothing to access or erase with us; you can still write to [email protected]. For the services in section 4, contact their providers. You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the one in your country.
10. Changes
If the app changes how it handles data we will update this page before releasing the new version. Last updated: 16 October 2026.
